I showed Spencer a picture of himself and said, "You are just so cute!"  He giggled and said, "I REALLY am!"

As we were walking in a parking lot, Beckett said, "Mommy, sometimes when I am at daycare, I step on a crack. But when I come home, your back isn't broken...."

A bomb?

As we were driving down the street following a bicycle with a blinking red tail light, Beckett says, "Mom, I think there is a bomb on that bike because I can see it's blinking red light."

Jacker

Beckett:  Daddy, Spencer says that "jacker" isn't a real word!
Me:  It's not.
Todd:  Well, carjacker is a word...
Beckett:  No, not like that!  Like the song!
Me:  Like what song?!
Beckett:  ♪ I got the moves like Jacker ♫

Spaghetti Bar

Beckett was crying this afternoon.  I asked him what was wrong.  He said that he was sad that Spencer got to have "spaghetti bar" at school and he didn't.  (Spencer was going through his lunch menu to figure out which days he'd take cold lunch.)  He then asked if the spaghetti bar was kind of like a Special K bar.

Spencer (after watching Todd open a pair of pajamas):  "Wow!  Now Daddy can wear PAJAMAS to bed!  Usually he just wears his UNDERWEAR!!"

Special Dreams

The boys got Christmas cards today that say, "...and may your special dreams come true!"  I read it out loud and Beckett said, "My special dream is for a talking dog, like Martha Speaks!"

Sorry, buddy, but that special dream probably isn't coming true...

Beckett just handed me a tube of go-gurt and said, "Can the grown-up girl in this family please open this for me?!"

Breakfast

This morning, Beckett was hiding something behind his back and has s smudge of chocolate on his face.  So, I asked, "Beckett?  Did you eat a piece of candy?!  We do not eat candy for breakfast!"  He replied, "Mom, it wasn't for breakfast.  It was just for FUN."

Turkey

"Are you going to eat a lot of turkey tomorrow?"

Spencer:  I am going to eat turkey tomorrow, but I don't know if I'll eat a lot.  I don't know how hungry I'll be yet.
