Thanksgiving

Me:  ...And when we go to Grandma's, we'll have turkey for dinner!
Beckett:  A real turkey?
Me:  Yeah.
Beckett:  With legs?!
Me:  Yeah.
Beckett:  And can WALK?!
Me:  No buddy, it won't be able to walk...

My boys...

Here is a prime example of the difference between my boys:

Spencer wants to grow up and be a 4th grade teacher in the school where I'm a 3rd grade teacher.  That way, we can eat lunch together every day.

Beckett wants to grow up and be a dinosaur.  That way, he can eat people for lunch.

See?  Big diff.

Shoo!

Last night, it was starting to get dark.  Beckett walked over to the window and said, "Shoo, night, shoo!" while trying to wave the night away with his hand.

Spencer labeled our door. You know, just in case we forgot what those things were called...

As I was sitting here at the computer, Beckett came downstairs. I can't see the stairway from where I'm sitting, but I heard him say, "Mommy? Can I take these to bed with me?" I assumed that they were stuffed animals or toys. Then, he walked around the corner, and I see he has two packages of Whoppers and a slice of cheese. Sorry, buddy, you don't get to take chocolate and cheese with you to bed.
