Spaghetti

The boys asked for spaghetti for supper.  I said, "Well, we don't have spaghetti noodles, but I could make it with this" and held up a box of penne.  Beckett said, "Okay, but only if those noodles taste the same as spaghetti strings!"

Big plans

Me:  Hey, Spencer and Beckett, we got a postcard in the mail that it's almost time to sign up for Little League!  Do you want to play baseball again this year?
Spencer:  Sorry, but I have other plans for this summer.

Books Are Awesome

Spencer:  Mom, this bookmark says, "Books are awesome."  I'm pretty sure that the person who made it likes to read.  Because, if they didn't like to read, I think they probably would have made it say, "Books suck."

Smart Phone

Beckett:  Why do noses make snot?
Me:  I am not sure.
Beckett:  You should say that to your phone and find out!

Egypt

Beckett:  I wish that I lived in Egypt.  And, that I was already dead.  Then, I could be a mummy!

Tough luck!

Me: Tough luck, little duck!
Beckett: Ugh! I HATE tough luck!!

Telling time

"Oh, Spencer, it's getting really late! You need to get in bed right now!!"
"Mom, it's only 8:10... my bedtime is 8:30."

Why did he have to learn to tell time?!

Sheep

Beckett made a sheep covered in cotton balls at daycare.  When I picked it up out of his cubby, one of the cotton balls fell off.  I told him to pick it up and we could glue it on at home.  He said, "Nah..." and started ripping all of the cotton balls off.  I said, "Beckett!  What are you doing?!"  He said, "It's summer.  This sheep doesn't need his wool anyway." 

Call Me

Me:  ♪ Hey, I just met you... And this is crazy... ♫
Beckett:  ♪  But, here's my number... So call me lazy!  ♫

For all the right reasons...

Beckett:  "Mommy, I love you because you are really super pretty and you have a really cool car!"

Tooth Fairy

Beckett:  How do you think the tooth fairy knows when there is a tooth at our house?  I think she sniffs them like a dog sniffs a bone!

Itch Scratcher

Beckett got a toothbrush today at his dentist visit.  It has a tongue cleaner on the back side.  He was showing it to me, and I asked him if he knew what that was.  He rubbed it on his cheek and said, "Yeah, you use it if have an itch when you are brushing your teeth..."
